Tivoli Village Storytime @ Kidville Review

We came out in droves to check out this new mysterious place called Kidville at Tivoli Village on Thursday, August 4th.  Storytime was hosted by Nannies and Housekeepers who had a nanny reading.  Upon entering the boutique and browsing through the adorable clothes my twins announced they'd like to get their hair cut, now.  Why?  So they can sit in the cool fire engine or air plane Kidville has set up in their salon area!  No way am I cutting their gorgeous long brown hair just yet...or ever if I can get away with it.

We all parked our strollers and took our little ones hands as we walked up 2 flights of stairs.  The toddlers were all so excited that very few actually stopped to hang out and marvel at the climb.  We all took off our shoes (bare feet are allowed....Yay!) and entered the Orange Gym.  Oh how the floors were so wonderful, soft yet with a little bounce.  Letting you be assured of a softer landing for when the kids tried out their trick moves on the equipment.

It was the toddler gym of my dreams, a zip line, padded trampoline, uneven bars, climbing structures, basketball hoops, and every corner and edge wrapped in padding.  Once storytime ended the kids were able to run freely in either of their two gyms...The Green Gym or The Orange Gym, both set up the same really.
Overall, this storytime was REALLY packed.  I'm sure they'll figure out how to make it more friendly as this was their first time and had no idea how excited we all were to see what Kidville is all about!  The location itself rocks.  For those of us who chose not to valet there is plenty of underground parking.  If you park by the C1 elevators it opens right across the way from the shop.  Good to know when traveling with toddlers in 100+ heat.  The boutique is very upscale, and adorable.  Educational toys, clothes for infants to toddlers, accessories to die for like kid safe nail polish, gem bows, safe paints, etc...

But that's not even getting into the amazing class line up they offer.  Music class with real musicians in a music room making the learning experience fun and interactive.  You'll see "interactive" in all the descriptions as Kidville is a hands on company.  Parents aren't given cushy couches to sit on or wi-fi access to surf during class or open play.  You get to interact WITH you child as they play and discover, a concept that has been overlooked in many new businesses here in Vegas.  Dance, art, preschool, open play, birthday parties, there's really no reason to leave.

The Radio City Pizza restaurant across from Kidville has great pizza.  They do their best to accommodate the families with babies and toddlers, and their best is fantastic.  The portions are huge and tasty, and kid approved!  We sat outdoors since my 2 year old would fall off the stools they have indoors but even with this heat, it was wonderful.

*FYI - the bathrooms are in the outside common area and are fantastic.  The family bathroom has a toddler potty and sink they can reach the faucet to wash their hands like mom and dad.
